Wadsley and Loxley common is an area of managed Heathland in the North of Sheffield. Its principle use is by walkers, but it has much to offer the visitor with an interest in bird watching, geology, history or wild flowers.
Wadsley and Loxley Commoners (WALC) are a voluntary group of, mainly local, people who have a great love for the common.
The aims of WALC are:
to conserve the common,
to balance the pressure of visitor numbers with conservation,
to promote awareness of the common, and
to encourage enjoyment of its many features.
The Commoners welcome you to their web site and hope you enjoy your online visit to the common. To discover more about the common and WALC visit the following pages.
